Some of the best classic rock includes that epic band which has been rocking longer than a lot of us have been alive – The Rolling Stones. You have to hand to it to The Stones, through five decades of in-fighting, drug addiction and creative differences, they’ve stayed together through more thick-and-thin than most married couples. When you think of classic rock artists, who usually comes to mind? Do you think of White Snake and his hair ballads? Do you think about Rush and Queen with all their chart-topping excellence? Chicago took classic rock and gave it depth, gave it a heart underneath all that grunge and that is why they are still classic rock legends.

Looking back on it now, it’s easy to claim that the classic rock era had its share of acts whose work doesn’t measure up to today’s standards.
